Course Length: 1 Hour

Purpose- Train first responders to provide lifesaving interventions to wounded officers and civilians in the event medical personnel are not available. The online version of TAC-MED give you an introduction to tactical medicine; it will not make you an expert. It will also serve as a good refresher for those that have already had hands on training. For additional hands on training register for our 4 hour TAC-MED course.

As a first responder there is a chance that you will be on a scene where someone will be severely wounded. If your life is still in danger from an active shooter or some other threat and medics are unavailable it will be up to you to react. Tactical Combat Casualty Care or TCCC was developed to assist military personnel in dealing with this type of situation. This course has been designed to help Law Enforcement Officers benefit from knowledge gained in combat and incorporate it into their own tactics, techniques and procedures.

Course Objectives:

  • Be able to identify, prioritize, and treat life threatening injuries
  • Understand what should be included in a first aid kit
  • Control Bleeding
  • Open an Airway
